About this measure

- As of
- , retrieved
- Units
- Current dollars per person
- Uncertainty
- None published (administrative and model-based estimates), so ranks carry no test.
- Data
- Download the CSV (all 50 states and DC, with the rank, the test and every input column)
- GDP is counted where production happens, so places with many commuters coming in (such as DC) or large headquarters and resource industries show high GDP per resident that residents do not receive as income. Personal income is the resident-income measure.
- GDP divided by the Census population for July 1, 2025, computed by the site; BEA publishes no per capita GDP series.
- U.S. value: BEA's United States GDP row; per BEA it differs from the sum of states by overseas federal military and civilian activity.
