Official US trade statistics
Trade by country
In 2025 the United States exported $2.18 trillion in goods and imported $3.41 trillion, for $5.59 trillion in goods trade. Here is how that divides among its partners, with each partner's own page for the detail. Numbers and definitions only.
Globe
Shaded by total goods trade with the United States in 2025. The same figures are in the list.
Loading the globe
Drag to turn the globe. Select a country for its figures, or use a row's globe button in the list.
- Under $50M
- $50M to $200M
- $200M to $2B
- $2B to $10B
- $10B and more
- No figure: no goods trade recorded in 2025; Census publishes no separate figures for Western Sahara after 2020; or no Census entity (N. Cyprus, Somaliland, Antarctica)
- The United States and its territories
- Dot: a partner too small to draw at this scale. A dot inside a larger country's outline, such as Hong Kong and Singapore, is drawn a little larger with a light ring; select the dot itself or its row in the list.
Boundaries are from Natural Earth, which shows de facto control, and do not imply any position on disputed territory. Following that rule, Natural Earth draws Crimea as part of Russia; the map shows the source's choice and takes no position on it. Western Sahara is drawn whole, as Census lists it, rather than divided as Natural Earth draws it. Country and territory names follow the U.S. Census Bureau's Schedule C.
Every partner, 2025

231 partners had goods trade with the United States in 2025; ranks run from 1 to 231, with equal totals sharing a rank. The name filter also matches other official names, such as the Census workbook's (Nauru, Macau, East Timor, Macedonia) and the World Bank's. Census basis goods, not seasonally adjusted: exports are free alongside ship value and imports are general imports (customs value). Names follow the U.S. Census Bureau's Schedule C. Regional and other groupings, such as the European Union, are not listed, because they overlap their own members.

How to read these numbers
- Goods only, on the Census basis. Services and direct investment are on each country's page, from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, with their own years and sources.
- Imports are general imports: everything that arrives, including goods entering bonded warehouses or Foreign Trade Zones. This matches the monthly FT-900 release and the Census country pages.
- Exports include re-exports, foreign goods shipped on in much the same condition as they arrived. Exports are credited to the destination the shipper knows and imports to the country of origin, so trade hubs such as Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Belgium and Singapore can show higher exports and lower imports than the goods made or used there.
- A balance is exports minus imports for one partner. This page reports it and does not interpret it.
- Country and territory names follow the U.S. Census Bureau's Schedule C, the list used in official U.S. trade statistics. Taiwan, Kosovo, Western Sahara, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip are listed as Census lists them.
