The data behind our charts

Each dataset names its source and series, when we retrieved it, how often it is released, and the date it runs through. Download any of them as CSV. Alongside the data behind our posts' charts are the economic and fiscal series we track, some of which no post uses yet.

Status compares the data's as-of date with how often it is released. "Current" means no newer release is certainly out yet. "Refresh pending" means the next release is past due on our schedule, allowing for the publisher's usual delay, and we have not pulled it in. Where the publisher has announced the date of its next release, we show that date with a link to its schedule, with the publisher’s own word when it calls the date estimated; we never estimate one ourselves.

Trade by country: the Census, BEA, USTR and World Bank trade datasets below are shown partner by partner, with a globe, in the Trade section.
